rustic furniture

oak spindleback benchWe take pride in our rustic furniture and boast that it is all made by applying traditional methods of green woodwork and joinery, this means no nails and no screws. The exception being our boxes and chests which are. Our benches and chairs are not just ornamental, they are made to be used everyday.

The legs of our chairs, benches and tables are made from cleft wood. That means we use timber that has been cleaved from larger and therefore older and stronger wood rather than using round wood. Using round wood is less work but is younger, weaker and cracks form from the stresses which are locked up in the wood.

We love to make bespoke projects, so, if you require an item of a certain height, length and width, for example a coffee table or bench, that’s no problem, just send us your desired specifications and we will make it to fit your chosen space.

Benches and chairs

Below are just some examples of rustic furniture we have made from Welsh hardwoods. We can tell you exactly where the timber for all our products comes from so you can rest assured that it is local timber like this garden bench below.
