We take pride in our rustic furniture and boast that it is all made by applying traditional methods of green woodwork and joinery, this means no nails and no screws. The exception being our boxes and chests which are. Our benches and chairs are not just ornamental, they are made to be used everyday.
The legs of our chairs, benches and tables are made from cleft wood. That means we use timber that has been cleaved from larger and therefore older and stronger wood rather than using round wood. Using round wood is less work but is younger, weaker and cracks form from the stresses which are locked up in the wood.
We love to make bespoke projects, so, if you require an item of a certain height, length and width, for example a coffee table or bench, that’s no problem, just send us your desired specifications and we will make it to fit your chosen space. email@example.com
Benches and chairs
Below are just some examples of rustic furniture we have made from Welsh hardwoods. We can tell you exactly where the timber for all our products comes from so you can rest assured that it is local timber like this garden bench below.
The ash timber is from Cwm Cych, Pembs
Three legged stools look great in any home. Traditional milking stool costing around £60 and a fireside stool around £75, note the deep cleft in the leg of the milker, this is due to canker in the ash limb which gives an unusual but pleasing pattern when turned on the pole lathe.
Small ash kitchen bench from £125
Fireside four legged stool from £85

Below is an example of a solid oak, cherry and ash bench to seat 3 adults or 4 children. Costing around £395.
The oak seat/back is from Star near Boncath, a huge windblown oak which fell across the road, ash legs from Cwm Cych and cherry spindles from Abercych.
Our benches are made from Welsh hardwoods like oak, ash, cherry and beech. The legs are cleft from large diameter round timber for strength and can be ornately turned on the pole lathe or can be left natural and rustic. All our benches are unique. We also make bespoke benches for farmhouse style dining tables, all we need are the measurements. There is free delivery if you live within 30 miles of us.
